Yo-Kai Watch Anime Premiers October 5th on Disney XD

Ahead of its video game launch on November 6th, the Yo-Kai Watch anime finally has a release date. North Americans can tune into the anime adaptation of the ghost hunting video games on October 5th on Disney XD. Animation Magazine also broke the news of who’s who in the English dub voice cast, which includes:

Johnny Yong Bosch – Nate
J.W. Terry – Whisper
Alicyn Packard – Jibanyan
Melissa Hutchison – Katie
Pierre Holloway – the Teacher and Manjimutt
Brent Pendergrass – Eddie (Nate’s friend)

The Yo-Kai Watch anime originally premiered in Japan in January 2014, and became such a huge hit that it propelled the franchise to phenomenon status. The North American license is being handled by Dentsu Entertainment USA.

For its grand premier, Yo-Kai Watch will air new episodes every day beginning October 5th through the 9th at 5 PM ET. After that, episodes will air weekly on Monday afternoons. Episodes will be streamed on GO Disney XD the day after their initial broadcast.
