Wii U System Update 5.3.1 Now Available

Ever since Mario Kart 8‘s DLC went live in early November, it seems a number of users have been experiencing problems with regards to the game’s Mario Kart TV feature. The dreaded Error 104-1852 was halting YouTube uploads of player’s replays. A patch was promised, and now it arrives to save the game’s face. Nintendo has opted for a system wide patch to fix the Mario Kart TV issue, along with some much-needed stability. The patch notes read:

Mario Kart 8 highlight reel upload fix:

  • Resolved an issue that resulted in some users receiving error code 104-1852 while uploading a Mario Kart 8 highlight reel to YouTube

Improvements to system stability and usability:

  • Further improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience
