HomeNewsCheck Out Nintendo’s Wii U Holiday Commercial Alex Irish November 11, 2014 News The Wii U’s second holiday is looking more lucrative than the previous year. Though the number of games are fewer, there’s only one game everyone’s talking about: Super Smash Bros. Which is why Nintendo chose this brand-new holiday promo for the Wii U to showcase…Mario Kart 8, which came out in May. The ad in question shows a family man place a bet with his children over winning at the racer, and highlights the console’s $299.99 price point. The latest commercial for the Wii U falls back to targeting the system at families, much as Satoru Iwata has said to investors. Take this quote from last October, and it’s clear he still follows this belief. Nintendo is preparing a number of Wii U games for next year that greatly appeal to highly skilled users, but…we have quite a few offerings that can be played by the whole family, dad and the kids, or grandparents and the kids…what Nintendo is promoting is, conversely, to stand out in the game industry for individuality. I believe we have become a unique value. Share this post: No related posts.
