Upcoming Wii U eShop Title: Nucleotide, by FrozenPixel!

Here’s an up and coming Unity-based indie game you might have missed, its Nucelotide by FrozenPixel! In FrozenPixel studio’s latest game development diary, we see Gorf (our amphibian protaganist) navigate a deathtrap infested river, similar to that of an obsticle course. The game’s luscious environment and gorgeous water animation really makes itself evident in the video. Visual aesthetic pleasure aside,  the game (judging from this preview) will be focusing on what FrozenPixel describes as “creative means of progress”. An example of this can be seen in video when Gorf’s elastic tongue shoots out, grabs hold on an object, and propels himself through the water and rams into the object he latched onto. This emphasis on mechanics will mean that tight controls will be a necessity for the game. Check it out (in HD)!

There is currently no set release date, but you can watch more game development diaries on the FrozenPixel studio Youtube page to see how the game has transformed and will transform in the future! FrozenPixel studio has openly stated they hope to see the game on all major platforms (PC, OSX, PS4, XBOX One, WiiU). What are your opinions on the Nucelotide?
