HomeGeneralUbisoft Explains Why Watch Dogs Was Delayed On The Wii U Jelani Thompson February 10, 2014 General, News After announcing that Watch Dogs had been delayed, there was a bit of a riot. This was mainly because of the fact that there was little to no explanation on why the long-awaited title for the Wii U would have been delayed. Today, gaming website Videogamer was able to contact a Ubisoft representative a here’s what was said: We made the difficult decision to further delay the release of Watch Dogs on Wii U to focus the team’s resources where they could have the broadest possible benefit for both our customers and Ubisoft. A half-hearted response nonetheless. There are obvious reasons why this could have happened though. Gamer’s all around the globe have said that the Wii U’s gamepad would utilize some of Watch Dog’s gameplay mechanics in a way that would make the game uniqe compared to the game on other console’s such as the PS4 and Xbox One. What do you think about Ubisoft’s decision to do this? Is there a specific reason you think that they made this decision?
