Super Smash Bros. Wii U Release Date Changed in Europe

Nintendo Direct 8 Player Smash

Good news! Nintendo of Europe has confirmed that those awaiting Super Smash Bros. for Wii U won’t have to wait much longer as the game’s european release date has been moved to November 28…much sooner than the game’s planned release of sometime in December.

In a series of tweets, Nintendo of Europe also revealed plenty of other information about the game and its accessories. Here’s all of the announcements organized in a tidy little list:

  • The Super Smash Bros. for Wii U + Mario amiibo Bundle will still be released on December 12th in Europe
  • The GameCube Controller Adapter will be available on November 28th
  • The GameCube Controller will be available separately on November 28th as well
  • The Super Smash Bros. for Wii U + GameCube Controller Adapter Bundle will be available on November 28th too

So I guess Europeans got an early Christmas gift from Nintendo! If you reside somewhere in Europe, are you happy about the game coming sooner? Let us know by leaving a comment below.
