This is astonishing considering the fact that 16 million residents of Japan now own a Nintendo 3DS meaning that a large percentage jumped at the first opportunity they could to get a copy of this game. This is the fourth Nintendo 3DS game to reach 1 million units sold in its launch week with the other three having been Monster Hunter 4, Pokémon X / Y, and Youkai Watch 2.
