Super-Rare NES Game Passes $99,000 on eBay

If you’re a Video Game collecting aficionado like me, You probably already know that Nintendo World Championships  is among the rarest and most sought after NES cartridges, With only 116 copies in existence. For those who don’t know, Nintendo World Championship is a cartridge used for a tournament, Containing bits of Super Mario Bros., Rad Racer, and Tetris. It’s also worth noting that , back in the before times, Nintendo Power gave away 26 gold plated versions of this cartridge in a contest.

The cart in question.

The $99,000 cart in question.

What a mint Nintendo World Championship looks like.

This one, however, is in terrifyingly bad shape. Yet, the cartridge is so rare, almost doesn’t matter. The label is torn with “Mario” haphazardly written on it. Sounds like the beginning to a creepypasta, no? Kinda like that one time I bought that copy of Majora’s Mask from that old man at that yard sale… Anyway, You can check out the Ebay auction here. It closed at a spectacular $99,902.00! Some lucky duck (with alot of cash!) is sitting pretty knowing he’s getting a great piece for his collection. Are you a collector? What rare thing do you have n your collection? Let us know in the comments below!

While I might not look all that impressive, I'll have you know that I've rescued many princesses and kingdoms while wielding various mythical blades in the process. In my off-time however, I'm an avid video game collector with over 300+ games. Everything from Atari 2600 to now! In short: Full-time cool dude, Part-time slacker.
