HomeNewsSuper Mario Kart Hits the North American eShop Maanav Goyal August 6, 2014 News Mario Kart 8 created a storm when it was released. Fans of the series were impressed and happy, and the bigwigs at Nintendo were getting their profits, both from game sales, and increased Wii U sales. But Mario Kart 8 wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for a certain game on the SNES, Super Mario Kart. Super Mario Kart is the game that set the grounds for the kart racing sub-genre, and now it can be played on the Wii U through Virtual Console. The game will be sold on the eShop for 7.99 USD, as are other SNES games available on Virtual Console. I personally think this was a smart move by Nintendo, as the Mario Kart 8 craze is starting to die down, but this will surely keep it going for a bit longer. Let us know in the comments if you’re interested in purchasing the game on the Wii U, and what your thoughts are on its addition to the Virtual Console. Share this post: No related posts.
