Well, it certainly seems that way. Customers have been calling their local GameStop Stores only to be met with astonishment. Yes, a controller from 2001 is causing customers to pay an upwards of 80-90 dollars on places like Amazon and Ebay. It may be no surprise as the GameCube iteration of Super Smash Bros. proved to not only be that system’s most successful title but has also been deemed the golden child of the series spawning tournaments world-wide as well as countless high school sleepovers. That being said, it’s a good problem for Nintendo to have as it has been quite a while since we’ve heard to words “sold out” this generation from Nintendo.
