HomeNewsShovel Knight Will Cameo In Yooka-Laylee Alex Irish September 28, 2016 News It looks like the indie darling Shovel Knight is making his way into Yooka-Laylee. A trailer for the upcoming platformer showcased the shovel-wielding knight in three dimensions at EGX 2016. According to developer Playtonic, the 3D model of Shovel Knight was provided by his creators at Yatch Club Games while Playtonic animated the character. Developer Sean Velasco provided the voice of Shovel Knight in his first speaking role, even with it being limited to grunts and noises. Yooka-Laylee is not the first time Shovel Knight has crossed over in cameo form. Among his playable resume are the indie games Azure Striker Gunvolt 2, Runbow, and upcoming titles like Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, with this artwork provided by Yuji Natsume (seen below).
