‘Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse’ is Now Headed to Wii U

WayForward Creative Director Matt Bozon has announced to Nintendo Life today that long awaited title “Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse” will be coming to Wii U along with a new Summer 2014 launch window. The Wii U version will feature a blend of HD textures and that classic WayForard pixel art, along with off-TV play. In normal play, the Wii U GamePad screen (along with the 3DS’s touch screen) will be used for inventory management and a map. The Wii U version is a welcome surprise to fans who have been waiting anxiously for almost two years for it’s release. I, for one will gladly wait longer if that means I can play on my Wii U too! While I might not look all that impressive, I'll have you know that I've rescued many princesses and kingdoms while wielding various mythical blades in the process. In my off-time however, I'm an avid video game collector with over 300+ games. Everything from Atari 2600 to now! In short: Full-time cool dude, Part-time slacker.
