HomeGeneralRune Factory 4 European Release Cancelled Jelani Thompson January 20, 2014 General, News Rune Factory 4 is a pretty well-know RPG developed by Neverland Co. on the Nintendo 3DS. Announced on June 29, 2011, it built up some hype during the year. If you didn’t know, it’s actually the sixth game in the Rune Factory franchise and was released on October 1st 2013 in North America. Well know there’s some bad news. The release for Rune Factory 4 has been cancelled in Europe. Here is the official statement from XSEED Games: We regret to inform you that the European release of Rune Factory 4 for Nintendo 3DS has been cancelled. While Marvelous AQL has made every effort to secure the title’s release for this territory, it is, unfortunately, not possible to do so at this time. MAQL and MAQL Europe would like to thank everyone for their support and enthusiasm for their European releases. Please look forward to announcements on new MAQL titles over the coming months. This is probably due to the fact that Neverland (one of the developers/publishers) has filed for bankrupt. It’s really is a shame because the company (and this franchise) showed a lot of promise.
