HomeNewsCall of Duty: Advanced Warfare on Wii U Spotted in Target Listing Alex Irish November 5, 2014 News, Rumor The latest Call of Duty extravaganza, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, hit retailers yesterday on PlayStation and Xbox platforms (not to mention PC). However, Nintendo is missing out on the ballistic action this time around. But is there hope yet for a Wii U appearance? Ace Twitter user AceBandage just tweeted a fuzzy image that lists the latest CoD as coming to Wii U. The ‘status’ is ‘Active’, and the price is listed as $59.99, the same as on other platforms. As if third party games didn’t have enough problems on Wii U, this is the first year Call of Duty, so far, is not coming to a Nintendo platform in a number of years. The reason: poor sales. Despite earlier rumors this year that Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare would appear on Wii U, developer Sledgehammer Games’ co-founder Michael Condrey wrote back in April that a Wii U port is definitely not happening. “It was an Activision decision. We are focused on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.” Meanwhile, High Moon Studios is porting the game to last-gen consoles Xbox 360 and PS3, and still no Wii U variant in sight. Again, don’t take this listing as a confirmation. On the other hand, Watch_Dogs from Ubisoft finally appears on Wii U this month, and a Nintendo Direct is airing tonight at 5 PM EST.
