Pokken Tournament Coming to Wii U, Launches Worldwide 2016

Not one day after an updated trademark was discovered in Europe, Pokken Tournament has officially been confirmed for a Wii U port. Better still, it will launch worldwide in spring 2016. The first trailer was shown off during the opening ceremony of the Pokémon World Championships in Boston. It revealed a new playable character, Pikachu Libre from Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.

And here’s the announcement of the announcement, made by Pokémon CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara.

Pokken Tournament, a collaboration between The Pokémon Company and Namco Bandai, was announced a year ago for Japanese arcades. The fighter launched in Japan this summer.
