HomeNewsPokémon’s Appearance at Gamescom 2014 Zak Penrith July 29, 2014 News, Community, General A few days ago Nintendo released their plans for the gaming convention in Germany called Gamescom. Recently the big N have had awesome appearances at this year’s two biggest pop culture conventions that are E3 and San Diego Comic Con and it’s time to bring that convention magic to Europe with Gamescom. First off all of the lead designers of the world famous Pokémon battle system Shigeki Morimoto will be taking autographs and hosting competitions for Pokémon X & Y and this will take place at Nintendo’s booth in hall 9.1. Also at Nintendo’s booth Pokémon trainers will be able to get the special Pokéball pattern Vivlion as long as they bring their 3DS or 2DS with a copy of Pokémon X or Y. Secondly a special message will be presented by the composer of the Pokémon music Junichi Masuda on behalf of GAMEFREAK, and the announcement has some tie in to remakes of Pokémon Ruby & Sapphire called Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire. Sadly Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire will not be playable at Gamescom. Other than that you can head to the Cosplay Village in hall 10.1, and if you have a Pokémon themed cosplay you will be photographed by a professional photographer. Your picture will be uploaded on to Nintendo’s official Facebook page where fans can vote for their favorite costume and their will be prizes to be won!
