Pokémon World Championships Dates and Times

Everybody loves Pokémon right?  Well you’re in luck because Nintendo has just officially announced the date and times of this year’s Pokémon World Championship.  Not only will this event be covering the Pokémon TCG but also video game battles.  I know what you’re saying to yourself, “Well the Pokémon World Championships are way too far away” and you’re probably right.  Luckily for you though, all of the tournaments and battles will be live streamed over Twitch.

The Pokémon World Championships are where the best of the best players go to well… find out who’s the best.  This year’s Pokémon World Championships will be held in Washington, DC from August 15th to the 17th.  The Twitch streams will be on August 16th and 17th and you can find the exact times for each event here.  As far as I can tell, this will be the first year that they are streaming the championship for everyone to see live.

I think it’s really cool that they are allowing everyone to experience the tournaments whether you’re online or physically there.  I’ve never been able to personally attend a PWC but I would love to eventually.  Let us know what you think about this year’s PWC or just Pokémon in general.
