HomeNewsOlli Olli Brings Cross-Buy to Wii U and 3DS on March 5th Alex Irish March 2, 2015 News While Sony platforms get to enjoy the sequel to skateboarding platformer Olli Olli, Nintendo fans get to play the original this coming Thursday, March 5th. Of particular note, Olli Olli will appear on Wii U and 3DS, with cross-buy to anyone buying either version. If you’ve never played it, Olli Olli is an endless runner where you skateboard your way to a high score. It’s a stylish affair that uses one button to produce combos and perform tricks, but you also have one life to chase that high score. Previously, Nintendo platforms delved into cross-buy with A Squid’s Tale, but only in Europe. People who bought the 3DS game were instantly qualified for the Wii U version. Conversely, Olli Olli will be available for cross-buy worldwide. This new cross-buy effort launches the same day as Nintendo’s own pioneering cross-buy effort, Mario Vs. Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars. Between these two releases, hopefully things will continue in this consumer-friendly direction in the future. Share this post: No related posts.
