HomeNewsNintendo’s Online Store Now Offering New 3DS XL Parts Alex Irish March 10, 2015 News Although the New Nintendo 3DS XL has been out in North America for almost a month, Nintendo is starting to provide serviceable accessories via its online store. North American owners now have the ability to order a charging stand designed specifically for the New 3DS XL, and it comes at a reasonable price of $9.99 (plus shipping). This stand, holding the system in a vertical position, comes only in black (and not red to match those systems). In addition, you can pick up a spare New 3DS XL bottom plate, in four designer colors no less. You can chose from New Red, New Black, and even the limited edition colors for the Majora’s Mask and Monster Hunter New 3DS XL, ranging from $8.99 to $12.99. Charging cradles are nothing new for the 3DS family. The original 3DS came with its own cradle out of the box, but the 3DS XL did not. That one is available via Nintendo’s store, but limited edition colors were available on Club Nintendo at a time (to be sold out and scalped within minutes). The irony of the back plates for the XL is that North Americans didn’t get the smaller New 3DS with face plates last month. Those people are now able to customize their New 3DS XL’s to some degree. You can find these parts right here and here should you need to spruce up your New 3DS XL. Just know that, as of this writing, the Gold Zelda battery cover is on backorder, so just check back later.
