Nintendo’s Next Handheld Rumored to Have a Free-Form Display

Free Form Display Nintendo Handheld

Japanese media outlet Sankei Biz is reporting that screen production company Sharp will be providing Nintendo with a free-form display for their next handheld console. In case you weren’t aware, Sharp is also the company that provides Nintendo with the 3D screens that the Nintendo 3DS uses.

These screens will begin production in 2016, and Nintendo is still testing different types of displays for said console, one of which is a donut-shaped screen. It’s not yet known whether this device will be part of Nintendo’s “Quality of Life Platform”, but all will be revealed soon enough.

What do you think this screen will be for? Let us know by leaving a comment below.
