Patch Related to Mewtwo Alex Irish April 18, 2015 News Everyone has been excited about the release of Mewtwo for Super Smash Bros. on Wii U and 3DS, eager to test his might in a multitude of modes. However, the release has been marred by some players reporting that Mewtwo is preventing them from going online. When players used Mewtwo in single-player modes that used Global Smash Power ranking (especially Multi-Man Smash), then tried to play online, they would be barred when the servers thought they were using hacked data. This oversight on Nintendo’s part has lead to some player’s save data becoming corrupted. Now, Nintendo is working on a patch to make Mewtwo safe across the game again. In the meantime, players should try to avoid playing the following modes, on both Wii U and 3DS. Classic All-Star Stadium Trophy Rush And specific to the 3DS version: Smash Run And whatever you do, try not to play online with Mewtwo until a fix goes live, which hopefully won’t take much longer. If you’ve accidentally played Mewtwo in anything other than local Smash battles, be careful.
