Here’s the official statement released by Nintendo: Dear – – Thank you for your patience on your Mario Kart 8 order from our Nintendo Online Store. We are sorry to inform you that your delivery has been delayed, however we have worked very closely with the courier service in order to guarantee delivery to you before 12 noon tomorrow. We apologise for the inconvenience this has caused and as a gesture of goodwill to our customers, we would like to offer you a download code for the full game, so that you can be throwing shells and banana skins in no time! You will still be receiving a physical copy of the game to also enjoy after launch day. We value the importance of being able to enjoy our products on launch day and will be liaising closely with our courier service to avoid any future delays.
