DLC Jelani Thompson November 1, 2014 News In the not too distant past, Nintendo uploaded an amazing 50-fact extravaganza video filled with splendid new information about their upcoming game, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. In addition to highlighting the differences between the Wii U and 3DS versions of the game, Nintendo revealed that Mewtwo (a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Melee on the GameCube) would be headed to the Smash 4 roster. WARNING! Mewtwo arrives in spring 2015! Register both versions in a promotional period & get him for free! #SmashBros pic.twitter.com/JoXVANFSbn — Nintendo UK (@NintendoUK) October 23, 2014 In order to receive Mewtwo as free DLC, it was revealed that players would have to purchase and register both Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS. However, Nintendo made it unclear whether players would be able to pick up Mewtwo as purchasable DLC at a later date. When asked whether the company would make Mewtwo DLC available for purchase later on, a Nintendo representative responded with the following: “Sadly, Nintendo has nothing to announce at this time regarding Mewtwo. But thanks for checking!” Since Nintendo is remaining so secretive about this matter, one can only assume that they’re saving this information for a major event such as Nintendo Direct.
