HomeNewsNintendo Opens Up Pre-Purchase and Pre-Loading for Super Smash Bros. Wii U Alex Irish November 12, 2014 News Nintendo of America recently initiated the ability to purchase digital games (mainly of the first-party variety) on their official eShop website. This extends to the power to pre-purchase an upcoming release and even pre-load it to your system. Super Smash Bros. for Wii U was the first confirmed game to allow pre-purchase and pre-order in this way, and today, Nintendo of America and Nintendo of Europe have opened the door to do so. If you venture forth to the company’s eShop webiste, you’ll have to log-in with your Nintendo Network credentials, and then checkout is a simple process. In the States, once you purchase the game, you’ll be emailed a download code within 72 hours of its November 21st release. At midnight, the full game will unlock to your beck and call (11 PM on November 27th in the UK). This pre-load will also take up a sizable 17.2 GB on your console, so plan your space accordingly.
