HomeNewsNintendo Online Services Under Extended Maintenance October 19th Alex Irish October 15, 2015 News If you’re a frequent user of Nintendo’s online services, you’ll want to take care of everything before some serious maintenance time this coming Monday. Nintendo will take down a substantial number of services on October 19th for a four hour period. Every store front and game across Wii U, 3DS and the stores on Wii and DSi are affected. Nintendo has not provided an exact reason for the substantial downtime. Recently, sleuthing fans data mined the Japanese Wii U eShop and uncovered listings of unannounced titles, including various Virtual Console games and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD. Perhaps this maintenance partly has to do with plugging the holes and preventing further leaks of this nature. Whatever the reason, make sure you’ve taken care of your shopping and online play needs before October 19th at 1 PM Pacific. Nintendo’s next round of maintenance will last until 5 PM Pacific.
