HomeNewsNintendo Offering Cross-Buy for Wii U and 3DS With New Title, Squids Odyssey Zak Penrith June 30, 2014 News Nintendo has now introduced a feature that has been begged for by fans for a while now—you guessed it—cross-buy. The basic idea of cross-buy is you buy a copy of a game on one system and you get a free copy of it on the console’s significant other (in this case, buy it on the Wii U and get it for free on the 3DS and vice versa). This feature will be implemented in a new game called Squids Odyssey. Sadly this offer will be exclusively to the European eShop, but with the rise of games being released both on the 3DS and Wii U, this feature will become more and more common in the near future. It’s great to see Nintendo finally catch up since the company’s competitors such as Sony have this feature available already. For now you can check out the trailer for Squids Odyssey: Make sure to keep an eye out for our upcoming reviews of the Wii U and 3DS version of the game coming soon!
