Nintendo Network Will Be Down On December 9th For Extended Maintenance

With the upcoming Miiverse arrival on the 3DS, Nintendo wants to take a bit of extra time to make sure that things go as smooth as possible on it’s release. That’s why there will be an extended maintenance on December 9, this Monday for some of the Nintendo Network services. The services that will be affected are the Wii U and 3DS eshop, and strangely, the Wii shop channel and the Nintendo DSi shop. Keep in mind that this downtime will be start at 9:00 AM and will end at 8:00 PM Pacific Time so it may be a while before you can spend those early Christmas gift eShop cards on either of your consoles. We’ll keep you up to date if there is any longer delay so keep reading!
