HomeNewsNintendo Direct: N64 and DS Games Hit Virtual Console Alex Irish April 1, 2015 News In a surprise announcement during this new Nintendo Direct, Nintendo confirmed that long-awaited VC support for Nintendo 64 and the Nintendo DS would commence. Beginning today, Super Mario 64 and Yoshi’s Island DS are available on the Wii U eShop for $9.99 each. Prices for these titles will range from $9.99 to $11.99 (N64) and $7.99 to $9.99 (DS). If you’ve purchased any N64 games in Wii Mode, however, all N64 games on Wii U will be discounted at $2 each. This marks the first time N64 and DS games have been sold via the Wii U, after being promised long ago. The upcoming roster of re-releases includes Donkey Kong 64 (the first time it’s available on Virtual Console period), Paper Mario, WarioWare Touched!, Yoshi Touch and Go!, and Mario Kart DS.
