HomeNewsNintendo Direct Incoming on April 1st Alex Irish March 31, 2015 News, Rumor April Fools Day is normally a time to be skeptical, for the internet tells many a great falsehood. Nintendo is feeling rather generous, as the company announced via Twitter that a new Nintendo Direct will air on April 1st. It will broadcast at 6 PM EST/3 PM Pacific, and will focus on upcoming games for the Wii U and 3DS. In addition, a Treehouse Live presentation will follow the Direct, to focus on a key spring release. Coincidentally a few days ago, a Google+ user posted supposes notes for an upcoming Nintendo Direct set for April 1st. This theoretical Direct includes announcements ranging from Nintendo 64 games upscaled and in widescreen for Virtual Console to a new wave of amiibo. It likely won’t hold water for tomorrow (it already falls apart as this Direct was noted to air at 3 PM CET, while the real one will air at midnight CET), so take this rumor with a grain of salt. If anything, we are likely to hear more about games like Splatoon and Xenoblade Chronicles 3D, and possibly see release dates for DLC in Smash Bros. (Mewtwo) and Mario Kart 8 (the second pack). What other surprises abound remain unknown, but the Direct is likely to focus only on previously confirmed titles. No matter what happens, expect to see a lot of Reggie, Iwata, and Bill Trinen tomorrow. What else do you want to see in this Nintendo Direct?
