HomeNewsNew Smash Bros. for Wii U/3DS Competitive Technique Discovered Jelani Thompson December 3, 2014 News, Community If you’re part of the Super Smash Bros. competitive scene in any way, shape or form, you’re probably familiar with competitive techniques such as Wavedashing and Fox-trotting. Now, the Smash community has discovered a new competitive technique dubbed the “S Smash”, a move that will surely lead to your victory on the battlefield. An S Smash occurs when you cancel a Fox-trot and immediately forward smash—in turn baiting your opponent into using his/her shield. This technique is great, because it allows you to rush in and deliver a high-damage grab combo. Pure. Butt-kicking. Awesomeness. S Smashing doesn’t require you to be frame perfect, nor is it easily predictable if used correctly. In that case, most competitive smashers will consider this a Mindgame instead of a technique. Regardless, utilizing this technique will mold you into a formidable foe. Have you used this technique on your friends yet? Think it’ll get patched? Let us know by leaving a comment below.
