New Smash Bros. Update Brings New Stages, Mii Fighter Costumes

The latest patch for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS is now live. The much-expected Super Mario Maker stage is available to both Wii U and 3DS owners, but each On the Wii U front, the Pirate Ship stage from Super Smash Bros. Brawl comes back, while 3DS players have a version of the Duck Hunt stage previously available to Wii U owners.

In addition, a slew of Mii Fighter costumes are now available. All three Mii Fighter types get the Business Suit costume (the Gunner variant fires out of a brief case), Brawler has Toad Captain Falcon hats and suits, Gunner gets a Fox hat and outfit, and Swordsman earns costume parts inspired by Monster Hunter (Rathalos and Hunter) and Kid Icarus’ Viridi.

While the Duck Hunt stage is free to 3DS players, all other content carries a price. Everything is listed below:

  • Pirate Ship, Wii U, $1,99
  • Super Mario Maker, Wii U and 3DS, $2.49 per platform, $3.49 for both platforms
  • Mii Fighter Outfits, $0.75 each per platform, $$1.15 each for both platforms, $5.25 bundle per platform, $8.05 bundle for both platforms

As a reminder, the Smash Ballot voting process ends this Saturday, which will determine future playable characters for both versions of Smash Bros. 4. Get voting if you have a certain fighter in mind.
