As part of the GameStop Managers Conference in Las Vegas, Nintendo of america confirmed that the New 3DS will launch on September 25th, the same day as Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer. The New 3DS XL launched in North America this past February without the smaller model by its side. Nintendo of America’s Damon Baker caused a minor controversy with fans of the unit explaining that it didn’t come here because it might create consumer confusion. However, at E3 2015, Reggie Fils-Aime hinted to Kotaku that the smaller model might be released here in the future. Pre-orders are currently live on GameStop for both systems.
