Brand-New 3DS Game Blast Ball Announced During World Championships

During the proceedings of the Nintendo World Championships 2015, the competitors got hands-on time with a world premier 3DS game: Blast Ball. It’s a first person shooter, but instead of shooting the other players, the goal is to shoot a futuristic ball into the goal (a lot like soccer if it were set in Running Man).

The game has a style reminiscent of Metroid Prime Hunters from the DS. That game was developed by Nintendo Software & Technology (NST). Could Blast Ball be a new IP from this developer? We likely won’t find out until Tuesday, and the inevitable press release that follows Nintendo’s Digital Event.
