Mystery Dungeon X Etrian Odyssey and Etrian Odyssey V Announced

Title says all! The notorious dungeon crawling series is getting not one, but two new installments as revealed in a special Atlus livestream this morning, one of which is another crossover title for the Nintendo 3DS.

Mystery Dungeon X Etrian Odyssey features a variety of familiar faces from the Etrian Odyssesy series, though the gameplay here is definitely more of a rougelike à la Shiren the Wanderer or the popular Pokémon Mystery Dungeon games. Have a look at this debut trailer:

The other title revealed today was the highly-anticipated Etrian Odyssey V, which doesn’t have a platform yet, but chances are it’ll be hitting a Nintendo console if past entries are any indication. Details are still scant at the moment, though fans should be thrilled to hear that long-time EO veterans Shigeo Komori, Yuzo Koshiro, and Yuji Himukai are all attached to the upcoming project. Take a gander at the teaser below:

Mystery Dungeon X Etrian Odyssey will be storming Japanese store shelves early next year while Etrian Odyssey V is presumably earlier on in development as it has no release date yet–stay tuned, though!

Also unconfirmed are bears. Need me some of those guys, Atlus. Please?
