HomeNews[UPDATE] Meta Knight Hacks His Way into SSB4 Trace Wysaske August 13, 2014 News Let the groans commence. After some recent speculation, Meta Knight has been confirmed as a returning veteran fighter, which means those hoping that the latest Smash Bros. would be 100% void of Brawl’s infamous slashing menace are finally out of luck. Though information is relatively limited at the moment, many of the photos featured on the official website suggest that Kirby’s brooding rival appears to be relatively unscathed from his Brawl iteration, which is either really good or really bad depending on which side of the fence you’re on regarding the hotly-debated matter. [UPDATE] Rejoice, dear readers! Sakurai recently posted on Miiverse that one of Meta Knight’s most notorious attacks have been tweaked: “Meta Knight’s Up Special Move, Shuttle Loop, changed quite a bit in this game. The glide is gone, and the attack slashes opponents twice while spinning in a large loop. This has turned into a highly technical and effective move.” Meta Knight joins a growing cast of 36+ fighters, all eager to duke it out when the game launches for 3DS in Japan on September 13th and early October for the rest of the world. Super Smash Bros. for Wii U is expected to release sometime later this holiday season.
