When IGN spoke with a Capcom representative asking if they would bring the Mega Man games to the Wii U’s GBA Virtual Console, they were given a quite satisfying response, one of which is that Mega Man Battle Network (among other Mega Man games) are headed to the Wii U. Here’s what was said:

“We are working on bringing this and other GBA titles to the North American Virtual Console,” a Capcom spokesperson said. “We’ll have more information about the lineup in the coming months. For Australia and Europe, we are still in discussions about the release of Virtual Console titles for those markets.”

The Mega Man Battle Network series on the Gameboy Advance strayed away from the original platforming action game that the Mega Man series was known for. Instead, the developers gave Mega Man Battle network an RPG-esque, undoubtedly a big risk while the games were being developed, but they turned out to be amazing!
