Masahiro Sakurai Explains Robin’s Smash Bros. 4 Moveset, Hints at New Fire Emblem Game

Robin Nosferatu Smash Bros. 4

On Miiverse, Masahiro Sakurai has given us a more detailed look at one of Robin’s abilities in Super Smash Bros. 4 called Nosferatu.

“Pic of the day. Robin’s Nosferatu is the first ability in the Smash Bros. series that recovers your damage as it gives damage to others. The attack becomes even stronger if you strike from behind! Robin doesn’t actually use this ability in the original game, but we added that element to make the character unique. Who knows–the ideas we use in this game may contribute to the original series.”

Personally, I’m up for any move that recovers health whilst dealing damage to one of my foes. The fact that it’s more effective when used from behind also adds a new layer of complexity to the game.

But that’s not the end of the story…

Take a look at the end of Sakurai’s sentence: “Who knows–the ideas we use in this game may contribute to the original series”.

You’ll notice that Sakurai also hinted at a new Fire Emblem game. Of course, there weren’t many details about this, but what do you think about this “reveal”? Possibly a Fire Emblem U? Let us know by leaving a comment below.
