HomeNewsMario Maker Moves Million Units Alex Irish September 30, 2015 News Following the news that Super Mario Maker users have uploaded a million stages, Nintendo announced that the level editor has sold over a million units worldwide since its September 11 launch. In that time, 2.2 million stages have been uploaded and played (cleared or attempted) 75 million times. Super Mario Maker has reached the million units mark faster than this summer’s Splatoon, which hit 1.6 million as of July 29th, but not as fast as 2014’s Mario Kart 8 which hit 1.4 million in a record 4 days. Mario Kart 8 incidentally is the highest-selling game on Wii U at 5.43 million units, so Super Mario Maker has a long way to go to hit that threshold. Share this post: No related posts.
