HomeNewsMario Kart 8 Wii U Bundle Now Includes Both DLC Packs Alex Irish September 8, 2015 News Nintendo has announced a Wii U bundle that includes the venerable Mario Kart 8, and it’s rolling out into stores this week. For $299.99, you can now pick up a Wii U that includes a pre-installed copy of Mario Kart 8 along with a download code for both DLC packs. It is available at retailers nationwide, according to Nintendo’s press release, and not a retail-exclusive. If you missed out on the critically-acclaimed racer since last year, this constitutes a “Gold Edition” that includes downloadable content such as new racers (Link from The Legend of Zelda, Villager from Animal Crossing) and extra courses (tracks based on F-Zero, Zelda, and Animal Crossing among others). Mario Kart 8 has already been the subject of previous Wii U bundles. Last year at the game’s launch, Nintendo offered a Wii U that included the game, a Mario Wii Remote and Wii Wheel for $329.99. Later that year, a similar bundle that included Mario Kart 8 and Nintendo Land (sans the Wii Wheel and Remote) was a Wal-Mart exclusive for $299.99. As if the upcoming Super Mario Maker hardware bundle wasn’t enough, North American shoppers now have yet another way to buy into the Wii U ecosystem. This joins the currently-available bundle that has Super Mario 3D World also for $299.99, so the choice of which game to start with is yours. Share this post: No related posts.
