HomeNewsLatest Smash Bros. Patch Reveals Additional Character/Stage Slots Alex Irish October 2, 2015 News, Rumor The latest patch update for Super Smash Bros. on Wii U and 3DS has once again drawn data miners to dig through its myriad of code. NeoGaf reports that version 1.1.1 includes three slots available for characters and four slots reserved for stages (2 for Omega Formes, 2 for its regular appearance). An additional two stage slots are suspected to refer to both formes of the Pirate Ship stage on Wii U. None of these slots have names of unknown fighters, however. All the character slots are labled ‘Mario’. This follows an earlier patch from April in which the characters Roy and Ryu were discovered in the code through their labeling. The two were released for sale in June. It appears that Nintendo is taking careful measures not to have a repeat of the prior leak. The Smash Bros. Fighter Ballot ends this weekend after months where fans could vote for upcoming playable characters. The three slots for fighters are likely reserved for the selected few that were popular enough.
