HomeNewsJapan’s Nintendo Direct Reveals Details for Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer Natalie Kipper May 31, 2015 News, General A new Nintendo Direct aired in Japan this morning (well, 6 a.m. Eastern, anyway) and, among other exciting news, it brought additional details about Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer. According the latest video, the game will be available in physical and download form, costing ¥4,000. The amiibo cards that launch with the game will cost ¥300 and contain three cards per package. The NFC reader/writer for the original 3DS is scheduled to launch on July 30 (the same release date as the game) for ¥2,500. Also releasing on July 30 is a bundle containing a cartridge of Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer and the NFC reader/writer. The package will cost ¥5,000. The trailer unveiled a special edition New 3DS LL (that is a New 3DS XL, for non-Japanese gamers) that had a really swanky design along with the game pre-loaded on the SD card. It will cost ¥22,000 and launch with the game. And, of course, the traditional New 3DS will also get a themed cover plate featuring the lovable residents of Animal Crossing, for ¥2,000.
