HomeNewsIronFall: Invasion Returns to 3DS eShop Following Two Month Hiatus Alex Irish October 14, 2015 News A couple of months ago, the 3DS free-to-start cover shooter IronFall: Invasion was pulled from the eShop following a homebrew hack discovered thorugh the game. As of today, it’s back up and updated to prevent further homebrewing. What IronFall: Invasion fell to specifically was the IRONHAX exploit. Twitter user smealum (aka Jordan Rabet) demonstrated a hack in which users would have access to make their 3DS region-free and play games from other territories and run homebrew software. Just as smealum was prepared to release the hack to potential users, Nintendo removed the game entirely from the eShop. Smealum apologized to developer VD-Dev for his actions forcing the game’s removal.

also sorry to ironfall devs for their game getting pulled from EU. hope they'll fix it and get it back up soon.
— smea (@smealum) August 11, 2015
With the game’s return for sale, smealum says the IRONHAX hack will still work on copies that were downloaded prior to the game’s removal.
