HomeNewsFeel The Love With Pokémon Go Valentines Event Alex Irish February 8, 2017 News A new Pokémon Go event has begun, this one centered around the upcoming Valentines Day. From now until February 15th, players will see an increase in the number of “pink” Pokémon, double the candy, and lures will last six hours instead of an hour. Per Niantic‘s official blog: From February 8, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. PST to February 15, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. PST, players will receive double the amount of Candy when catching, hatching and transferring Pokémon, while Buddy Pokémon will find Candy twice as fast for their Trainers. In the spirit of Valentines Day, adorable pink Pokémon including Chansey, Clefable, Porygon, and others will have increased spawn rates. In addition, Pokémon like Cleffa, Igglybuff, and Smoochum will have a higher chance of hatching from Eggs. Trainers can also celebrate together by deploying Lure Modules that will attract Pokémon for six hours, as opposed to thirty minutes, for the duration of the event. This Valentines Day event follows in the footsteps of past Pokémon Go events themed after Halloween, Christmas, and New Years. No doubt similar events will unfold for the year to come, with Easter, the Fourth of July in the United States, and St. Patricks Day among potential holiday-themed promotions. Generation II Pokémon are also forthcoming as they continue to roll out, starting with egg-based Pokémon like Cleffa and Igglybuff. Share this post: No related posts.
