Brand-New Pushmo Installment Arrives in Japan

Nintendo of Japan has just announced the fourth installment in the Pushmo franchise for Nintendo 3DS. Entitled Pushmo: Hippa Land, it includes four different worlds of play. The first few levels of each world are free, but for the entire experience, you’ll have to pay 500 yen for a world, or 300 yen for 50 courses. You can also buy the entire game for 1000 yen (around $10).

This Pushmo sequel looks to include more three-dimensional block manipulation, combining mechanics of the first two Pushmo games and more. The trailer shows Mallow pulling the surfaces from select blocks to extend them, as well as jumping on switches to widen a surface. We also get a glimpse of a Famicom-themed world of levels, including a Samus Aran puzzle.

The game is out now in Japan via the eShop update, but no announcement for North America or Europe has been made. E3 maybe, or perhaps a surprise release this week?
