HomeNewsBanjo-Kazooie Spiritual Successor to be Revealed in This Month’s EDGE Nick February 12, 2015 News, Rumor Many rumors have been propagated lately by developer Playtonic about a successor to the Banjo-Kazooie games that came to the Nintendo 64 in the late 90’s. A Neogaf user has recently confirmed that a 6-page spread in the new EDGE magazine will reveal details on this 3D platformer from the prodigal sons of the genre, former RARE employees. Playtonic, an indie developer made up of these veterans of RARE, have teamed up with Grant Kirkhope again(composer for Banjo & Kazooie, Donkey Kong 64 and Goldeneye 007), to “bring you the video game stars of the future that are inspired by our past!” Reportedly the new game will begin on Steam’s early access, but the developers are keen to see it on Nintendo consoles. For those of us who remember the golden age of 3D platforming, this is monumental news! More details to come. Share this post: No related posts.
