Ash Pikachu: Japanese Distribution Info Updated

Earlier this week, we brought you the news that the special Ash-themed Pikachu will be distributed in Japan in the forthcoming months, timed to the Pokémon franchise’s 20th movie. Now the exact distribution details are out in the wild with more specifics about the “how and what” for the six Pikachu available.

Each Pikachu will be leveled in correspondence with the season of the show their hat first matches up with. Each Pikachu also boasts moves matching up with Ash’s Pikachu at the time, so it will have learned Iron Tail in its Hoenn Cap set but not its Kanto set, as seen below.

Original Cap Pikachu will be available at level 1, officially the lowest level of any Pikachu ever, with the moves Thunderbolt, Thunder, Quick Attack, and Agility.

Hoenn Cap Pikachu is level 6 and comes with Thunderbolt, Iron Tail, Quick Attack, and Thunder.

Sinnoh Cap Pikachu will be level 10 and has the moves Thunderbolt, Quick Attack, Iron Tail and Volt Tackle.

Unova Cap Pikachu will be level 14 and come with the same set as above: Thunderbolt, Quick Attack, Iron Tail and Volt Tackle.

Kalos Cap Pikachu will be at level 17 and Alola Cap Pikachu is level 20, but both know the same moves: Thunderbolt, Quick Attack, Iron Tail and Electro Ball.

All Pikachu in the event will be given away via serial codes, come in a standard PokeBall, and have the hold item Pikashunium Z-Crystal. Our previous article has the exact dates for their Japanese distribution, but nothing has been announced for the west at this time.
