HomeNewsAmiibo Takes its First Steps… Roberto Pallas August 30, 2014 News Amiibo figurines will have 12 of the Nintendo’s most-beloved mascots at launch! Mario, Peach, Link, Samus, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Pikachu, Kirby, Fox, Marth, The Villager, and Wii Fit Trainer will be the first line of defense in Nintendo’s latest venture into uncharted territory. For many, it echoe’s the Wii era’s “Blue Ocean” strategy by trying to find untapped areas of the gaming market in hopes of unearthing “hidden” players. But for current enthusiasts, it simply is another way to get our fix! Even more so as these are targeted at Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS, probably the most ideal title in which Amiibo could possibly make its start; a series beloved by all starring everyone’s favorite franchises (I’ll be damned if your favorite doesn’t have a nod somewhere in there). Of course, the figurines have already been confirmed to be compatible with future titles, but in what manner is still a mystery. Nintendo of America has also confirmed that the figurines will be $12.99 each in the North American region, and will be available to pre-order from major retailers. Additionally, more figurines were shown at the previous E3, but perhaps this initial run will shape the execution of those future installments. What possibilities will arise with this new venture? Furthermore, what games do you want to see them in! Let us know in the comments! Share this post: No related posts.
