Ace Attorney 6 Announced for Japan, Confirmed for North American Release

Ahead of Tokyo Game Show 2015, Capcom has lifted the veil on the next installment of the Ace Attorney series. Ace Attorney 6 was detailed in the latest issue of Famitsu. The sequel is set for Nintendo 3DS systems

Capcom also confirmed that the new Ace Attorney will launch in western markets, telling Shacknews, “Ace Attorney 6 (working title) will be coming to the west. We’ll have more information on the Western release soon.” This is in contrast to another Ace Attorney spin-off, The Great Ace Attorney, which has yet to be confirmed for western release.

According to Famitsu, Ace Attorney 6 sees Pheonix Wright travelling to an unnamed country where people believe in dead spirits. The country’s court rooms feature a “water mirror” on the floor, where the top screen of the 3DS will display the face of a character and words on the water. The game will also feature new systems that enable faster gameplay from the series’ norm.

Attendees of Tokyo Game Show will be able to play Ace Attorney 6 on the show floor from September 17th to the 20th.
