HomeNews20th Century Fox Targeting Mega Man Movie Alex Irish September 4, 2015 News After previous crossovers into multimedia, Mega Man looks ready to breach the silver screen. Hollywood site The Tracking Board reports that 20th Century Fox is eyeing a live-action Mega Man movie with production co-handled by Chernin Entertainment. Chernin Entertainment is known for properties like the Planet of the Apes reboot, Ben & Kate, and New Girl. The project will be overseen by David Ready and Michael Finfer, while Peter Chernin will produce. For Fox Entertainment, Mike Ireland and Ryan Horrigan will oversee the project. While Mega Man has been adopted into animation before, including an anime OVA and a TV series from Ruby Spears, this will mark the first time the Blue Bomber will be portrayed in live action. The project is purportedly in the early stages of development, with no target release year as of yet. Until then, Mega Man will feature in an upcoming animated series from Man of Action set for 2017, the franchise’s 30th anniversary. Share this post: No related posts.
